You know what's cool? Coconut water. It turns out this stuff played a big role in keeping the rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers at the top of their game. The band's production designer, Grier Govorko, who's from New Zealand, discovered this secret tonic during his years of touring with them.
Meanwhile, in upstate New York, two buddies named Justin and Tony were into junior hockey. They were always told to drink coconut water to stay hydrated, get electrolytes, and keep their energy up. But they thought it could taste better.
Then, fate stepped in. Justin met a girl, got engaged, and they decided to take a trip to New Zealand. That's where he tasted the most amazing coconut water ever, called CoAqua.
You see, Grier had been on a mission to find the perfect coconut, and he found it in South Vietnam. He started producing CoAqua in New Zealand.
When Justin came back to New York, he brought some CoAqua with him and shared it with Tony. Well, let's just say Tony was blown away. He said, "Let's do this! Let's distribute this awesome drink!"
And that's how it happened. Justin, Tony, and Grier became fast friends over video chats, and together they launched CoAqua North America.
